Hi friends! Here is the quick recap of Day 1 of my around the world trip with the first stop in Amsterdam! Each day I’ll be recapping the high and low point of each day along with answering a question about my RTW trip.

Highlights of the Day: Walking around the canals and beautiful streets of Amsterdam and the Anne Frank House. I really prefer this canal city over he more popular Venice, which I find very touristy and overcrowded. Anne Frank’s House really hits you hard, but is very well done. You walk through the same bookshelf to get to the hidden annex that the Frank and Van Pels families hid in.(Be prepared to wait an hour to get in, but it’s worth it)
Low point of the day: Mispronouncing every single street name and almost getting hit by a bike or bus everytime I tried crossing the street!
Best Local Spot: Cora Fresh Juice and Sandwiches
Next up: Tromso, Norway to try and catch the Northern Lights!
Xoxo,
Ruth
